Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga focuses on physical postures, or 'Asanas,' which enhance body alignment, lung capacity, and overall fitness for daily activities. Pranayama is typically introduced after the body has stabilized. Yoga props such as blocks, straps, and bolsters may be used, and chairs may also be utilized to aid in accessing certain postures. By understanding the mechanics of the body and creating a particular atmosphere, hatha yoga helps direct energy in specific directions. It is not merely an exercise but a means of developing body awareness and mindfulness in response to the fast-paced and instant gratification nature of modern life. Practicing hatha yoga aligns the physical, mental, emotional, and energy bodies, promoting harmony among them. Asanas are a science that, when performed consciously, can elevate consciousness.
